This week we’re considering ‘Could you forgive the unforgivable?’ Life can bring us great challenges, place us in seemingly unbearable situations, darkness may come and seem to obscure all light. How is it possible to experience terrible tragedy or injustice or inhumanity and not be consumed by rage, bitterness and thoughts of revenge? For this week’s topic Ruth Copland is happy to have two special guests on the show both associated with the documentary film ‘Risking Light’ which features the stories of three people, in very different circumstances, who forgive the absolutely unforgivable. How did they do it and why? These people had the courage to step out of the haunting, tragic darkness of the past, risking everything to reach the light of their own compassion.

“It’s A Question of Balance ® so rare among radio talk shows, lets its subjects breathe. With her discursive style and pleasingly eccentric range of curiosity, host Ruth Copland each week treats her listeners to two hours of Whole Brain Radio.”
